Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

The short version

  • Your game progress and settings stay on your device. We don't have accounts, and we never receive your progress.
  • Glide Home is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the app collects things like device identifiers, your approximate location (from your IP address), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data. Google may share some of it with the ad partners that bid to show ads.
  • Ads are personalized only if you allow it: through Google's privacy message where the law requires consent, and through Apple's "Allow tracking" prompt. You can change your mind at any time.
  • The optional Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
  • We don't use analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

1. Who we are

Glide Home is a puzzle game for iPhone and iPad made and published by Andres Flores, an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Glide Home app and this website handle, who receives it, and the choices you have. For any privacy question or request, email support@glidehome.app.

2. What stays on your device

So you can pick up where you left off, the app saves the following in its private storage on your iPhone or iPad:

  • your game progress: the levels and daily puzzles you've completed, your stars, coins and daily streak, the shop items you've collected and the scenes and postcards you've reached;
  • your settings and choices, such as sound, music, haptics, color symbols and reduced motion, and the board, outfit and Home scene you've picked;
  • whether you own Remove Ads, so the app knows not to show banner and between-level ads (Apple confirms this again when the app starts or when you restore purchases);
  • possibly a small amount of ad pacing information, such as how many levels you've won since the last full-screen ad, so ads stay spaced out;
  • the privacy choices you make in Google's consent message, which Google's software stores on the device so it can respect them.

We never receive this information and can't see, restore or delete it for you. You can delete it at any time: Settings → Reset progress in the game erases your progress, and deleting the app removes everything it saved on that device. If you own Remove Ads, you can get it back after reinstalling with Restore purchases.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Glide Home is free to play and is supported by ads. The ads are provided by Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google. The app includes Google's Mobile Ads software, which requests ads from Google when the device is online. We don't control which individual ads appear, and the ads are served by Google, not by us.

What Google's software collects

According to Google's disclosures for its Mobile Ads software on iOS, it may collect:

Information collected by Google's Mobile Ads software in the app
Information Examples Used for
Device identifiers The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), only if you allow tracking; otherwise identifiers limited to this app or developer Showing ads, frequency capping, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention; personalized ads only with your permission
Approximate location Estimated from your IP address (city or region level, never GPS) Showing ads suited to your region and language, analytics, fraud prevention, and legal compliance (for example, which privacy message applies)
Ad and app interactions Which ads were shown, taps on ads, video views, app launches Delivering and measuring ads, frequency capping, analytics, fraud prevention
Diagnostics Crash logs from the ads software, performance data such as launch time, hang rate or energy use Fixing problems, analytics, and improving ad performance

We, the developer, receive only aggregated reports from AdMob, such as the number of ads shown and earnings per country. They don't identify you, and we don't receive your identifiers, location or interactions.

Google's ad technology partners

Many ads are bought through an auction that Google runs. For that auction, Google may share information such as your approximate location (from your IP address), details about your device and the app and, where permitted, device identifiers with third-party ad technology providers ("ad partners") that bid to show ads in the app. They use it under their own privacy policies. Glide Home uses Google's default set of commonly used ad partners. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message lists these partners and lets you refuse them, then or later through Settings → Privacy options. Google publishes the current list of commonly used ad technology providers and explains how ad partners work.

Personalized and non-personalized ads

  • Consent message: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message right after you finish your first level, before any ads load. Your choices decide whether ads may be personalized and how Google may use your data.
  • US states with privacy laws: Google's opt-out form for the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information is available at any time from the game's Settings → Privacy options (section 4). It doesn't appear on its own when the app starts.
  • Apple's tracking prompt: the app then asks, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency system prompt, whether it may track you (the prompt's wording and buttons depend on your iOS version and region). Google receives the IDFA only if you allow tracking. If you decline, the IDFA isn't available to the app or to Google.
  • If you don't consent or don't allow tracking, you still see ads, but they are not personalized based on your activity in other companies' apps and websites. They may still be based on the context, such as your approximate location and the app itself. The game works exactly the same either way.

We ask Google to show only ads suitable for general audiences, consistent with the game's App Store age rating. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, you can report it (see the FAQ).

Google uses the information it collects under its own policies. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Your privacy choices

  • Privacy options in the game: where Google's privacy messages apply to you (the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws), the game's Settings show Privacy options. Use it to review or change your consent at any time or, in those US states, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.
  • Tracking on your iPhone or iPad: open the device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (on iOS 15, Settings → Privacy → Tracking). Turn off tracking for Glide Home, or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track for every app (in the European Union on iOS and iPadOS 27.2 and later, it's called Allow Apps to Request to Link Your Activity Across Companies). This replaced the older Limit Ad Tracking switch.
  • Google's ad settings: if you're signed in to a Google Account, you can manage ad personalization in Google's My Ad Center.
  • Remove Ads: the one-time purchase turns off banner ads and between-level ads for good. Rewarded videos stay available as an option you choose (for example, a free hint), so the app may still contact Google to prepare them, and Google's collection described above applies when you watch one.
  • Offline play: the whole game works without a connection. While the device is offline, no ads load and nothing is sent to Google.

5. The Remove Ads purchase

Remove Ads is an optional, one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment, Apple Account and receipt under the Apple Privacy Policy. We never receive your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details.

Apple's StoreKit tells the app, on your device, whether you own Remove Ads, and the app stores that status on the device (section 2). We don't send purchase information anywhere, and we have no server that records it. Apple provides us with sales reports that don't identify you. You can restore the purchase on your other devices, or for your family through Family Sharing, with Settings → Restore purchases in the game. Refunds are handled by Apple.

6. What we don't collect

  • No accounts: there is no sign-up or sign-in, and the app never asks for your name, email address, phone number or age.
  • No analytics or crash reporting of our own: apart from Google's ads software described above, the app contains no analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting tools, and we don't record how you play.
  • No access to your personal content: the app doesn't ask for access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location or files.
  • No game data leaves your device: your progress, stars, coins, collected items and settings are never sent to us or to Google.

7. The App Store and your device

You download Glide Home from Apple's App Store. The App Store and your device's operating system are run by Apple under its own privacy policy, not this one. In particular:

  • We don't receive your name or Apple Account when you download the app.
  • Apple may show developers aggregated statistics that don't identify you (such as download counts) and, only if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, crash reports and usage statistics. We use them only to fix problems and improve the game.
  • If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, the backup may include the app's saved progress. Backups are managed by Apple and by you according to your settings; we can't access them.

8. This website and links from the app

In the game's Settings, the privacy policy and support links open this website in your web browser, and "Contact support" opens your email app with our address filled in. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send an email.

This website is a small set of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, loads no fonts, scripts or other content from third parties, and has no forms. It is served by a web hosting and content delivery provider. Like any web host, the provider automatically processes technical information about each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the pages and to protect the service from abuse and attacks. We don't use that information to identify or track visitors.

9. If you email us

If you choose to contact us by email, we receive your email address, any name attached to it, and whatever you include in your message (for example screenshots or device details). We use this only to answer you and to fix any problem you report. We don't add you to mailing lists, and we don't share your message with anyone except the email service providers that deliver and store it for us.

10. Who receives data

  • Google receives the advertising data described in section 3, directly from its software in the app.
  • Google's ad technology partners, the third-party advertising companies that bid for and serve ads through Google's auction, may receive information such as approximate location, device and app details and, where permitted, device identifiers from Google (section 3).
  • Apple processes the Remove Ads purchase (section 5) and runs the App Store.
  • Service providers that host this website and deliver our email process data for us only to provide those services.

We don't sell personal information for money, and we don't share it with data brokers. Some US state privacy laws treat allowing an advertising partner such as Google to collect identifiers and ad interactions for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; see section 13 for how to opt out. We only work with partners that are bound by their own privacy commitments to protect the data they receive at least as well as described in this policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.

11. How long data is kept

  • On your device: until you reset your progress or delete the app.
  • Advertising data held by Google: according to Google's retention policies. For example, Google says it anonymizes advertising data in its server logs by removing part of the IP address after 9 months. See How Google retains data.
  • Support emails: only as long as we need them to help you and handle any follow-up, and then we delete them. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

12. Children's privacy

Glide Home is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13, and it is not in the App Store's Kids Category. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age set by the law where they live). We ask Google to show only ads suitable for general audiences.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, for example by email, contact us at support@glidehome.app and we will delete it. Because we don't receive advertising data ourselves, we will also help you with Google's tools for limiting or deleting ad data. On your child's device, you can turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track (in the European Union on iOS 27.2 and later, Allow Apps to Request to Link Your Activity Across Companies; section 4) so the IDFA is never shared.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We hold very little: we never receive your progress, identifiers or ad data, so most requests about advertising data are best made through the choices in section 4 and Google's own tools. We'll gladly help with any request at support@glidehome.app.

  • European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR): where the law requires consent, for example to store or access information on your device for advertising or to show personalized ads, ads rely on the consent you give in Google's privacy message, and you can withdraw it at any time through Privacy options. Without consent, Google may show limited or non-personalized ads as its policies allow, including for purposes such as fraud prevention and security. For support emails, Andres Flores is the controller and relies on our legitimate interest in answering you. You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your information, to object to it, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
  • California (CCPA / CPRA) and other US states with privacy laws: the categories of personal information collected through the app are identifiers (device identifiers and IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (ad and app interactions and diagnostics) and approximate geolocation, as described in section 3, plus the contact details and messages you choose to email us. The categories of third parties that receive the advertising data are Google and advertising networks and ad technology providers (Google's ad partners, section 3). They receive it for the business purposes of serving, measuring and securing ads, and, unless you opt out, for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, which these laws may call a "sale" or "sharing". The IDFA is part of that only if you allow tracking. You can opt out at any time through Privacy options in the game (where shown) and by turning off tracking (section 4). We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. You also have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and we won't discriminate against you for using your rights: the game and the price of Remove Ads are the same either way.

To make a request, email support@glidehome.app. We may need to ask for information to confirm the request is yours, and we'll respond within the time the applicable law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer.

14. International transfers

Google and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. When information about users in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland is transferred, Google relies on legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and data privacy frameworks, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

15. Security

Your progress never leaves your device, so it is protected by your device's own security, such as app sandboxing and your passcode. Google is responsible for securing the data its ads software collects. This website is served only over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect the support emails we receive. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but collecting little and keeping game data on your device is the strongest protection we can offer.

16. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a future version of the app handles data differently, for example by adding another ad network, we will update this policy and the privacy information on the app's App Store page before that version is released.
